There are currently three on the go, two of which are in a little disrepair; The first, Somerled, has had a few misfires and I am still unsure wither to write it as historical fantasy or fiction though at the moment I err towards the fantasy, but both proceed in two different camps until I make up my mind. The second is Moonchild, which though a novel will be in its own way a sequel to "A River of Tears"
The third which so far has been very easy to write is currently called "Written in the stars" which, though suitable is a title that is a little to twee for me even for what purports itself to be a romance.
It is going great and the fourth and fifth chapters will appear here, under "Stay with me for a while" within the next few weeks. Probably together which will make me late for the fourth instalment and early for the fifth.
Also I have a small shadow fourth project which to be honest I am spending little time on but it is kind of the one I am working on when I go slow with one of the others but letting you into a secret here it is a biblical horror story and is really going rather well and may well become more than just what I write when I am losing with the others. Wait and see.

Personally I have never been in favour of Independence for Scotland even though it would mean no conservatives in charge ever again which I consider very much the only argument of worth in favour that I could come up with and it is an important argument.
I would very much like to be in a position where we are not lead by the rich who (with very few exceptions- though I admit that there are some) are very much out for themselves. So normally anything that would limit the power of the Tories over my future and the future of others would very much appeal to me. Independence however, is not the way to go. Had I any doubt about this then for the reason I gave before I would give it a chance, perhaps. However any doubts I had in my mind were sealed today with the comments of a European vice president quoted in the Scotsman today as having said; France and Spain "will surely not" accept an independent Scotland.
I was already worried, for obvious reasons about severing our ties with the United Kingdom.
Worried about defence, Jobs, spending, our huge social services bill, the balance of industry, trade partnerships that would be destroyed, our currency and the state of our banks.
To sever the same ties with our largest trading partner (by far- Europe) would be nothing other than financial suicide. I urge every thinking person not to just have a gut reaction but rather think of the possible consequences of a yes vote. The more I know the more I think a yes vote would cause hardship, instability, a dramatic reduction in trading increasing our national debt which would already be astronomical. Ceasing EEC trade with Europe could well sound a death knell to a fledgling democracy especially one whose fortunes are so deeply tied with Europe at the moment.

The Moonchild.
The Moonchild will almost certainly be the next book that I produce and will be a follow up to "A River of Tears" although it will take a completely different style and format to the first volume which essentialy consisted of five (long) short stories and a novella. This time around it will be a novel though it will be made up of six or seven different stories that intertwine and that have a shared beginning and ending. It stays true (I think) to the first volume though is far more complex which i hope does not let it down . I do not think that it will and i think people will be happy with the combining theme. It will still be a work of romance and fantasy coupled with an ecological background peopled by strange and diverse creatures not the least of whom will be we humans.
It is obviously still some time away, "The Secert Inside" is only just out and I am hoping that people will buy it. Of course it is a very different beast of a novel and i would not like them confused. Therefore it will be a while until "Moonchild" is out.

Feathers is now complete and is undergoing the always tedious job of editing, formatting and reformating and re editing and.... well you get the picture. It will definitely be out early in the new year.
At the time i give publishing dates i am always sure that they are correct but with all the things that need to be done and trying to arrange launches etc. It seems they are rarely ever when i expect the release date to be. They are almost always later than my estimate and the intial date i am told though in the case of "A Pale Shadow Creeps" it was actually slightly earlier.
Anyway i will continue to keep you appraised of release dates as soon as i know anything.
Moon Child and other stories
Being the second volume of "A River of Tears" should also be out at some point next year. It will follow a similar format to the first volume and be a blend of; Fantasy, love stories, mysteries, spiritualism and faerie tales. As with the first volume the stories are simple and thought provoking at the same time. Most as well as the obvious have underlying constructs in much the same way as "The River Sprite" had in the earlier volume. What i can tell you for sure so far is that it will be a longer volume as it contains the novella "Moon Child" and is better written, even if i do say so myself. Which i do.
The River Sprite
Will be rereleased shortly as a stand alone book. This time it is being directed towards the young teen market and will come out at some point in the near future including illustrations. It has been adapted to suit the audience it is directed at but is essentialy the same story as that contained in "A River of Tears" so if you own that book i would not rush to buy it again though i suspect that the illustrations will make it worth doing so. I have not seen them myself yet but have viewed other work by the same artist and suspect that they will be wonderful.
Thats it for the moment but if anyone has any questions please feel free to post here or mail me at; raytwalker@googlemail.com
or at; raymond@raymondwalker.co.uk
Thanks for reading.

Ah you will loads of new covers in the books page and new descriptions as well. please ignore these if you have bought the books before hand they are not re-workings of them. It is simply a case that they have now been rerealed in paperback format. There is nothing new or original other than the covers and/or descriptions. I must say though that i really love the re-workings, makes them more pulp fiction and i like that though i know many do not.
Me i do.

A Pale Shadow Creeps is now out there in most formats as well, lol, the old fashioned ones like paperback and hardback.
lol- to be honest it has not reached the paperback stage yet being available "on paper" only in hardback and tradeback (Which is really only a large paperback) anyway i am glad to see its release and hope it will do well.
I am rather fond of it.

A Pale Shadow Creeps will be released in hardback format on the first of July and in "Tradeback" format very soon afterwards. Personaly I hope it will be the same day but there are still issues with the cover of the tradeback which do not seem to exist with the hardback copy. There should not be toomuch time between the two and if I were you, which of course I am not, I would plunk for the tradeback, simply for the reason that you get the same book for a lower cost.
As the author I must say that i am plaesed with the end result for I truely am and though i have said in the past that i have not been happy with some editions of my books but i really am happy with the finished product. I think also that you; the Reader will also be pleased. I think that perhaps it is the best thing that i have ever written even though i have a personal fonmdness for "A River of Tears"
