writing
There are currently three on the go, two of which are in a little disrepair; The first, Somerled, has had a few misfires and I am still unsure wither to write it as historical fantasy or fiction though at the moment I err towards the fantasy, but both proceed in two different camps until I make up my mind. The second is Moonchild, which though a novel will be in its own way a sequel to "A River of Tears"
The third which so far has been very easy to write is currently called "Written in the st...

A General Update.
Posted by Raymond Walker on Friday, November 9, 2012,
Feathers is now complete and is undergoing the always tedious job of editing, formatting and reformating and re editing and.... well you get the picture. It will definitely be out early in the new year.
At the time i give publishing dates i am always sure that they are correct but with all the things that need to be done and trying to arrange launches etc. It seems they are rarely ever when i expect the release date to be. They are almost always later than my estimate and the intial date i am ...

Glimpse

Many have asked me over the years wither i would ever produce a book of potry for i suspect i am better known for my poetry than my novels and short stories. I eventually relented a couple of years ago and released "Selected Poetry" Which sold above my expectations which of course was pleasing for me but i regreted releasing it almost as soon as I produced it.
I realised that it was flawed. I do not save much of my poetry and so included in it were some that i did not wish to be there but were...

A pale shadow creeps- just another update.
Posted by Raymond Walker on Saturday, February 25, 2012,
A pale shadow creeps continues apace and looks good, though i as the authour is kind of bound to think so. Yet i spent time earlier today reaquianting myself with the earlier motions of the story, the ebb and flow of the narrative, the weft and warp of the deatail and richness of the story. Never have I before stolen so much from myself, nor shall I again for it has been both the easist story to write and the most difficult to relate. But it do think even if i do say so myself, which i do, th...

Update on "a pale shadow creeps"
Posted by Raymond Walker on Saturday, February 18, 2012,
"A pale shadow creeps" is now only weeks (or perhaps a couple of months depending upon the time i have available for re-writes) away from publication and i really think that everyone will like it. It is rather more personal than anthing that i have written before and i have used a more descriptive style than is usual in my case but i still stick to the tale though with just a little more embelishment than is usual for me. Though of course a chilling format being a ghost story of sorts i hope ...

A pale shadow creeps is now finished with just the odd tweak here and there required. It was; as all my stuff is supposed to be a short story but again ditto it has become more than expected but hopefully not so large that it will lopse your attention.
Hope you enjoy it.

A Pale Shadow Creeps.

This will be the new novel. I have remarked before and often that feathers as a novel had grown so large as to be unweildy and so it became fragmented and has been so long in the writing that many threads became unravelled. That is why there are writers and editors and never shall the two agree. And such was the case here. As things transpire what was once feathers will end up as three books. Firstly; A pale shadow creeps, which is only a month or two away from publication. Secondly; Feathers...

A Pale Shadow creeps
Posted by Raymond Walker on Wednesday, August 17, 2011,
As things do in most of my tales "A pale shadow creeps" has now become a mix of ghost story, social commentry and romance but is proceeding well ( I personaly am very pleased with it, it has all the creepy elements that it started with and has gained so much more from the romance contained therein) and will be available soon. Whilst writing "a pale shadow" a sychronicity appeared to me and it being my habit I have included it in the story. So. Though unrelated by little more than geographical...

An update for those who wish it
Posted by Raymond Walker on Thursday, June 17, 2010,
Sorry i have been away for a while so here is just a short status update for anyone who is interested.
The new novel "feathers"; continues apace, though it has now had so many branchings and turnings, so few roots become so many branches it seems; that it barely resembles the original for which there was a preview contained at the end of "cornelius"
Personally i find it a better novel now and close to complete barring some re-writes, so it should "hit the shelves soon".
I did get very ...

Just to get the blog started.
Posted by Raymond Walker on Wednesday, September 30, 2009,
I intend to submit information to the blog on a regular basis letting everyone know when the new book is out and what i am currently working on. I have already mentioned on the site that Feathers is due out in the spring of next year but i am also working on a follow up to A River of Tears which has been my most successful book to date.
Though i hope that Cornelius tops it soon.
